Emily's California Adventures
Emily survived almost two weeks with my parents. My favorite phone call was when she was alone in a room and whispered into the phone, "You know your parents are crazy, don't you?" Ha-ha! I knew that about 30+ years ago! They had a very good time. They sewed some clothes, scrap booked, ate, went to the zoo, went to the beach, explored some of the museum boats down in the bay, gave Emily some surfing lessons, had her serenaded at at a concert, did some shopping, had a tea party, went to a 4th of July party (we calculated that Emily's 4th of July lasted 39 hours!), played with the cat, visited Great Aunt Dorothy, had Grandpa and Pat over for spaghetti and carrot cake (yum! :P), they went to the Del Mar Fair, and probably lots of other stuff I can't recall or don't know about. :) I think a good time was had by all. Emily called from Canada this afternoon to say she made it across the border. My parents are probably taking prolonged naps or are in comas. :) Emily has the camera, so I'll have to add pictures later. Here on the home front, we are almost done with swimming lessons, cleaning, packing and trying not to make any new messes.

Julia,
Are you back in Arizona? Looks like Emily had a great time in Australia. I would love to go there.
